I’ve started my project with reverse complement function that works on RNA or DNA sequences. Code you can find on github: https://github.com/science-is-the-new-black/bio_stuff/tree/master/reverse_complement

Input is checked whether it contain only ACTGU letters. Otherwise, on the results windows you’ll get ‘wrong sequence’ message. However, you can use both RNA and DNA in single sequence (U and T) and result will be changed to RNA or DNA according to your choice.
(1) just change RNA to DNA or DNA to RNA
(2) reverse the sequences
(3) obtain complementary sequence without reversing it
(4) obtain reversed complementary sequences
